Mother-son murder: Investigation report April 26

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has asked the investigation officer to submit its report on April 26 on the case filed over killing a mother and her son in the city's Kakrail area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ahsan Habib fixed the date on Tuesday as the investigation officer failed to submit its report on the day.

On November 1 in 2017, Shamsun Nahar, 46 and her son Shawon, 19, were found dead in a flat of a multi-storey building in the city’s Kakrail area. On information, police went to the spot and recovered their bloodstained bodies.

Later, Ashraf Ali, brother of victim Shamsun Nahar, filed the case accusing Abdul Karim, her husband, Sharmin Akhter Mukta, Abdul Karim’s second wife, and her brother Al Amin alias Jonny.

Police arrested and put them on remand.
