Muggers hack retired army man to death in Bogra

Bogra Correspondent: A group of unidentified muggers have hacked a retired army person to death at Karatoa road area in the district town on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Jahan Bax, 70.

Locals said that the victim was heading towards home riding a rickshaw around 7:00am. Meanwhile, a group of muggers stopped him in the area and tried to snatch bags. At one stage, the muggers attacked him with sharp weapon and fled the scene, leaving the army man critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Confirming the matter, Bogra Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Emdad Hossain said told risingbd.com that investigation is underway in this regard.
