NGO employee’s body found after 5 days of missing

Staff Correspondent, Savar: The body of a NGO employee named Sabina Yesmin Urmi has been found after five days of her missing at Ashulia.

Police recovered the dead body around 11.00pm on Wednesday from Dewanpara area of Ashulia. 

Police also held two persons in this connection.

Ashulia Police Station Sub-Inspector Ashraful Alam said that on Thursday, Sabina went to collect money of loan at Dewanpara of Ashulia. She collected Tk 1.5 lakh loan from the customers. Later, he went to Dewanpara to collect the installment money from a customer named Moslem. After going to Moslem's house, Moslem and his associates strangulated Sabina to death. Later Moslem kept the dead body of Sabina half a kilometer away from the house.

He also said that in this incident NGO authorities filed a diary with Ashulia police station. Moslem and his wife were then arrested with the help of technology. At one stage of the interrogation, they confessed to killing of Sabina. Later, the body of Sabina was recovered on the basis of their information.
