Staff Correspondent: A total of 1, 74, 691 women had been subjected to inhuman torture between 2001 and 2012, a press conference was told on Thursday.
The press conference was held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) auditorium, in the capital.
“The torture includes- Acid attacks, kidnapping, murdering after rape, trafficking, dowry and so on,” the speakers said, in the conference.
Khushi Kabir, Fowzia Khandakar Eva, Farah Kabir, Monika Jahan Bos and Ruhul Amin Kajol were present, at that time.
According to the press conference, more than ten women are being tortured in a week in Bangladesh.
