Obaidul Quader visits ailing mayor Ivy

Staff Correspondent: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader visited Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy, who is currently taking treatment at a hospital in the capital.

Obaidul Quader went to Labaid Hospital this morning to see the mayor.

Earlier, Narayanganj Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy was taken to Dhaka after she fell ill. Ivy is taking treatment at cardiac care unit or CCU of the hospital. Her condition is stable now, doctors said.

Ivy's brother-in-law Abdul Kadir, also vice-president of Narayanganj district Awami League on Thursday, said, a six member medical board has been formed led by Labaid cardiology department chief Prof.(Dr.) Baren Chakrabarti. 

Ivy fell ill on Thursday noon while speaking to journalists at the Nagar Bhaban, said Narayanganj city unit Awami League general secretary Ahammad Ali Reza. Later, an ambulance transported her to Dhaka.
