Police constable killed in Tangail road crash

A police constable on duty in Tangail was killed when a truck run over him on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Rabna bypass area of the district.

The deceased was Saidur Rahman. He was performing duty as a constable of Tangail Sadar traffic police.

Adam Ali, a sub-inspector at Elenga Highway Police Station, said a reckless truck run over Saidur while he was performing duty at Rabna bypass on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in the morning.

Later, Saidur was rushed to Tangail general hospital where duty doctors declared him dead, the police official said.
