President to pay homage to Bangabandhu today

Gopalganj Correspondent: President Md Abdul Hamid will pay tributes to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mazar (Mausoleum of the Father of the Nation) in Tungipara of Gopalganj today (Thursday).

It will be the very first tour in Tungipara after taking oath for his second term. Centering the visit, all types of necessary initiatives have been taken.

A smartly turned out contingent drawn from three services will give a guard of honour to the President.

He will also offer special prayers for the departed soul of Bangabandhu. Later, the helicopter carrying the President will leave Tungipara for Dhaka.

Gopalganj police super Muhammad Saidur Rahman Khan said all types of preparations have taken centering the visit of the President.
