Rumpa’s death: No evidence of rape found

Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) did not find any evidence of rape in the autopsy of Stamford University student Rubaiyat Sharmin Rumpa.

Dr Sohel Mahmud, head of the DMC Forensic Medicine Department, confirmed the news to risingbd after receiving the postmortem report on Saturday.

The body of Rumpa, 22, a second-year English student of Siddheswari branch of the private university, was recovered from an alley of the area on December 4.
