SA TV programme head Zerin lands in jail

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court sent SA TV programme head Zinat Zerin Altaf to jail in a case filed for swindling money, attempting to murder and fraud.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Pranab Kumar passed the order on Friday afternoon.

Though Zerin's lawyer filed petition seeking bail for her, the court sent her to jail as she could not produce main document of the case.

The court also fixed March 12 for hearing in the case. On the day, the case would be heard at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari.

Zerin was arrested from her residence of Dhanamondi-6 on Thursday night as she was warrented accused in the case filed by one Rounak Momin.
