Saif Barkatullah’s new book to hit Ekushey book fair

Staff Correspondent: A new book of young writer Saif Barkatullah will hit this year's Amar Ekushe book fair beginning at Bangla Academy in the city on February 1.

The book named ‘Tettrish Number Jibon’ comprises 12 stories written at different times on real life characters in the society.

Teuri Publications is publishing the book which cover was designed by Kabbo Karim.
The book will be available at the stall of Teuri Publications (no. 620) from the first week of month-long book fair.

About the book, Saif Barkatullah said, “This is my fifth book. It comprises 12 stories. Three stories were written in 2010, 2015 and 2016 respectively, and rest of the stories were written in 2017”.

He also said, “I find stories always. There are many events occurring around us. Some people are alone and some are enjoying happiness. Many people are being tortured in various situations. It is seemed that all are playing a role. I try to understand these incidents. I have tried to describe some incidents in the book. It contains the episode of rural and urban life. It describes different sides of lower middle class people, oppressed and exploited people”.
