Salim Prodhan on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed online casino “kingpin” Salim Prodhan and two of his associates on a 5-day remand each in a money laundering case.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yeasir Ahsan Chowdhury passed the order on Sunday.

Salim’s two associates are known as Aktaruzzaman and Roman.

On October 6, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case Inspector Shahidul Islam Khan showed them arrested and filed a petition seeking remand for them.

On the day, the court fixed Sunday for hearing on the petition.
