Sri Lanka series won’t be easy, says Mashrafe

Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said that the Sri Lanka series set to be launched from July 26 will not be easy for any side. Both the sides will perform equally.

He said, “Lankans will play in their home grounds. They are always better in home. The current squad is playing for last many days. They are balanced. They have also better memories in the recently concluded World Cup. They beat England. They really played well in several matches.”

Mashrafe said this in an official press briefing on Friday, a day before Tigers are set to fly for Sri Lanka tour.

Bangladesh are expected to leave Dhaka for Sri Lanka on Saturday to play a three-day ODI series against the home side.

“Excitement has been seeing during the play between the two sides (Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) since the Nidahas Trophy. This is also now counted. Considering all the facts, it seems to me that the series will not be easy for any side. The side will win the match that will play better on the particular day,” he added.
