Stocks down at opening

Economic Reporter: Share price index at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) --witnessed downtrend in early hours of trading on Monday.

The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 20.61 points or 0.38 percent to reach 5313.41 at 11:10 am. Of the issues traded till then, 112 gained, 120 declined and 35 remained unchanged.

The CSE key index, CSCX lost 19.59 points to stand at 9975.72, also at 11:10 am today. Of the issues traded till then, 51 gained, 76 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
