‘Student politics can be banned on campus if BUET wants’

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina opined that student politics can be banned on campus if BUET wants.

The premier made the opinion while addressing a press conference at Ganabhaban on Wednesday.

Sheikh Hasina said, “There is a committee in BUET, if they think, they can stop it (Student Politics). We will not interfere there.”

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also ruled out the possibility of banning student politics in the country saying that the student politics cannot be prohibited following a single incident.   

“Leadership has come from student politics. I am here after doing student politics,” she said.
