Students urged to build drug-free society

Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon MP has urged the students to take a leading role in order to keep the society free from drugs.

Menon said this while addressing a views-exchange meeting with teachers, students and guardians held at Uttar Barovita Abdul Kuddus Mian Protibondhi School in erstwhile Dashiarchhara enclave in Phulbari upazila of Kurigram as
the chief guest on Sunday.

Earlier, he visited Dashiarchhara Rashed Khan Menon College at the same erstwhile enclave and also exchanged views with teachers, students and guardians of the institution.

On his arrival, members of the governing bodies of the institutions welcomed and greeted Menon with wreaths.

Headmaster of Uttar Barovita Abdul Kuddus Mian Protibondhi School Ariful Islam presided over the views-exchange meeting held at the school auditorium.

Phulbari upazila Workers’ Party President Sohrab Hossain, Upazila Social Services Officer Abdul Majid, former Upazila Muktijoddha Commander Mujibur Rahman, former leader of enclave exchange committee Altaf Hossain and teacher of the school Jahidul Haque also spoke on the occasion.
