Suspected militant den cordoned off in Sylhet

Staff Correspondent, Sylhet: RAB and Police members cordoned off a residential building in Shibbari area under South Surma police station in Sylhet city.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Jedan Al Musa said members of law enforcing agencies took position there at dawn on Friday.

Power lines to “Achia Villa” has been cut and civilians partially evacuated as law enforcers prepare to move in on.

The building “Achia Villa” is owned by one Ustar Mia, proprietor of Atia Travels.

Police have called out to the militants asking them to surrender, according to sources. “But, there has been no response.”
