Teacher to die in jail for raping minor student

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has sentenced life term imprisonment to Holy Crescent School and College teacher Md Minhaz Uddin in a case of raping a Play grade student.

Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-5 Judge Tanjina Ismail passed the verdict on Tuesday.

The court also fined Tk 2 lakh to the convicted teacher. In default, he has to serve more two years in jail.   

Earlier on March 11, 2014, the 25-year-old Arabic teacher Minhaz raped the five-year-old girl inside a school compound on the capital’s Mirpur area.
