Two Chuadanga drug traders arrested in Jhenaidah

Police in a drive early Tuesday arrested two drug traders of Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga from Jhenaidah with a large quantity of hemp and Phensidyl.

The arrestees are Mamun, son of Mizanur Rahman of Choto Boldia village under Damurhuda upazila and Shahin, son of Mizanur Rahman of Baghadanga village under the same upazila.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Moin Uddin said a team of police conducted a drive in Kala-Laxmipur village of Jhenaidah Sadar upazila and arrested Mamun and Shahin with 26 kg of hemp and 60 bottles of Phensidyl.

A case was filed against them with the police station, he said.
