Risingbd Desk: United Nations members have reached an agreement to tackle climate change after negotiations ran into the weekend in the Peruvian capital Lima.
The president of the meeting said delegates had approved a framework for setting national pledges.
The deal puts off many critical details until a summit in Paris next year.
Environmental groups criticised the deal as a weak and ineffectual compromise, saying it weakened international climate rules.
The talks proved tough because of divisions between rich and poor countries over the scale and scope of plans to tackle global warming.
