Walton Pavilion witnessing huge crowd in the DITF’s last moment

Economic Reporter: A large number of buyers and visitors are thronging Walton Pavilion following the extension of the period of ongoing Dhaka International Trade Fair up to February 4 to pick up their desired electronics and electrical appliances at affordable and discounted prices.

During a visit to the premises of DITF on Thursday (February 1, 2018), the four-day extension of the DITF made a good opportunity for the buyers and the visitors to pick up various sorts of products of both local and international brands from the country’s biggest expo. Like buyers, the participants of this expo were also happy with the chance of doing more business for another four days.

Among the participated company, most probably the local electronics giant Walton became very much happy with the boom of its business during the first day of the fair’s extension (Thursday). 



It was found that a large number of buyers were swarming to the Walton Pavilion on Thursday to pick up their desired appliances.  The sales executives of the local pavilion were also passing very busy hours in dealing with the huge customers’ flow.

Uday Hakim, senior operative director of Walton Group, said, the number of buyers and visitors at Walton Pavilion in each and every days of this year’s DITF were satisfactory. Most of the visitors and buyers of the fair entered into the Walton Pavilion for at least once to see the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labeled electronics and electrical appliances, he said.

In the last moment of this expo, a good number of buyers are thronging Walton Pavilion to purchase highest standard fridges, televisions, laptops, smartphones and other sorts of appliances, he said and hoped that the participation of Walton in this year DITF would be successful.

Walton Pavilion In-charge Shafiqul Alam said, they are displaying and selling out more than seven hundred models of appliances, which are suitable for all classes of people. In addition, customers are offered 8 percent discount on electronics and electrical home and kitchen appliances, along with free home delivery facility, at the fair. Thus, a good number of buyers are swarming Walton pavilion to buy products at discounted rates, he added.



Walton Pavilion Convenor Shah Shahid Chowdhury said the sales of Walton fridges, televisions, smart phones were increased slightly following the extension of the fair’s period.

The power efficient inverter technology’s compressor based frost, non-frost and tempered glass doors refrigerators turned into the hot cake, he said.

Among the televisions’ models, several sizes LED TVs like 28, 32, 39 and 43-inch were getting good response in the fair. Along with these, the sales of Walton brand 32, 39, 43, 49 and 55 inch smart televisions were in a good position.
