Walton inks corporate deals with 3 institutions

Staff Reporter: Country's leading technology products manufacturer Walton signed corporate deals with three institutions to boost their ties of exchanging knowledge and experience.

According to the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), students and officials of the institutions would enjoy special discount and other facilities in purchasing Walton brand computer and laptops.

The three institutions are Canadian University of Bangladesh, Victoria University of Bangladesh and IBCS-PRIMAX Software (Bangladesh) Ltd.

The deals were signed on Tuesday (13 March, 2018) at the offices of the institutions in the capital. Md. Liakat Ali, in-charge of Walton Computer Project, signed the MoU for Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited while Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Canadian University of Bangladesh, Prof. Md. Abdul Mannan, Chairman, Department of Business Administration of Victoria University of Bangladesh and Kazi Ashiqur Rahman, Director, Education of IBCS-PRIMAX Software (Bangladesh) Ltd. signed the deals for their respective institutions. 

Md. Firoj Alam, Additional Director to Walton PR & Media, Brigadier General (Retd.) Md. Asaduzzaman Subhani, Registrar to Canadian University of Bangladesh, Raihana Shams, Treasurer & Professor to Victoria University of Bangladesh and Bimal Chandra Banik, Deputy Managing Director to IBCS-PRIMAX Software (Bangladesh) Ltd. were among others present on the occasion.

On on function it was said that the Walton brand computers and laptops are manufactured under Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited at its own plant in Chandra of Gazipur which is equipped with world's latest technology and machineries. Walton computers and laptops are being provided to students on special discount and instalment facilities so that they can get higher technology education and become qualified to deal with the competitive world. Apart from this, the students of the aforesaid institutions will get the facilities of having internship at Walton.

Meanwhile, the representatives of the concerned institutions expressed their satisfaction over the signing of such an agreement with Walton. They also termed this agreement as a milestone for both parties.
