The local electronics giant ‘Walton’ witnessed a 76 per cent growth in the sales of its television for the period of January to September of the current year compared to the TV sales of the previous year’s corresponding period.

To celebrate this achievement, the local brand arranged a programme titiled ‘Walton TV Branding and Sales Award’ held at Walton Corporate Office in the capital on Tuesday evening.

At the event, a total of 30 area and zonal managers from Walton plazas and distributor and Marcel’s sales network were rewarded by the company as a recognition of their outstanding contribution to the huge sales of television.

Apart from them, some other 22 enterprises and area managers, including 11 area managers, and 11 organisations, received ‘Best Branding Award’ for conducting innovative and extensive branding of ‘Walton Digital Campaign Season 4’ at their respective localities.

The awardees received crests and certificates from Walton Group’s Vice-Chairman SM Nurul Alam Rezvi and Director Raisa Sigma Hima.

The award-giving ceremony was attended, among others, by Walton Group’s Executive Directors Eva Rezwana, Amdadul Haque Sarker, SM Zahid Hasan, Md. Humayun Kabir, Mohammad Rayhan, Dr. Md. Sakhawat Hossen, Ariful Ambia and Amin Khan, TV Department’s Chief Executive Officer Engr. Mostafa Nahid Hossain, TV Marketing In-charge Maruf Hasan, TV Product Manager Tanbir Mahmud Shuvo and other senior officials of the company.

Addressing the function, SM Nurul Alam Rezvi said that country’s one of the largest TV Research and Development (RnD) centers was set up at the Walton TV manufacturing unit.

A good number of efficient engineers is doing research on the latest TV technologies and features, mentioning it he added that thus, they released wide ranges of latest technology-incorportaed televisions like next generation quantum dot plus technology’s SpectraQ TV, Bangla Voice Control Smart TV, Zero Bazel Display’s TV etc.

He also announced that Walton will bring 1.397 meter (55-inch) OLED television in the local market in next year.

Raisa Sigma Hima said that Walton TV has been turned into ‘hot cake’ among the local customers due to its some uniqueness like advanced features, vivid picture, digital sound, world-class quality, reasonable prices and assurance of swift after sales service.

This year, Walton was able to surpass the last year’s TV sales within the July, informing it she noted that they witnessed about 76 per cent growth in TV sales in the months of January to September of 2019 against the TV sales of the previous year’s same period.

Already, around 86 per cent of the annual targets of TV sales, set by the company for this year, were achieved, she added.  

Engineer Mostafa Nahid Hossain said that they have been manufacturing environment-friendly televisions maintaining international standards. Thus, Walton TV achieved several European standards’ certificates like Consumer Electronics Certification (CE); Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), he noted.

Now, Walton television is being exported to the various countries of Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe. Very soon, Walton TV will be available in the American market through the world’s largest online sales platform ‘Amazon.’

According to Walton authorities, customers are now enjoying 6 months replacement guaranty; 4 years panel guaranty on 813 milimeter or above sizes smart and LED TV, up to 36 months easy installment facility. Walton is delivering swift and best post sales services to its customers through more than 70 service centers across the country under the ISO standard service management system.
