War Crimes: Verdict against 5 Gaibandha men today

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) will pronounce its judgement today (Tuesday) against five alleged war criminals for their crimes during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971 in Gaibandha.

The three-member ICT panel, headed by its Chairman Justice Md Shahinur Islam on Monday set the date for delivering the verdict in the case.

There were six accused in the case. Among them, Md Ranju Miah is in the jail and Md. Azgar Hossain Khan has died.

The absconding accused are-Abdul Jabbar (86), Md. Jafijar Rahman Khoka (64), Md. Abdul Wahed Mondol (62) and Md. Momtaz Ali Bepari Momtaz (68).
