Ward councillor Mizan put on 7-day remand

A Dhaka court placed Ward Councillor Habibur Rahman Mizan on seven-day remand in a case lodged over Money-Laundering Prevention Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khayer Jessy passed the order on Saturday.
Earlier, Investigation officer and CID inspector Giasuddin on Saturday produced Mizan before court seeking 10-day remand.
Mizan, councillor of Ward No-32 was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on early October 11 from Sreemangal of Moulvibazar. Meanwhile, a fire arms and four rounds of bullets were recovered from the spot.
