Who’s going to be world cup winning captain!

Sports Correspondent from London: What is the weakest side of Kane Williamson? Such question was put before the opponent skipper Eoin Morgan directly before the final match of ICC world cup 2019. The English skipper boldly replied, “His backup.”

Steve Waugh raised hands with world cup trophy in Lord's Cricket Ground two decades back. The Australian world cup-winner opined that if England can stop Williamson then the match result would be different. Morgan seems to be following the track of world cup winning captain. The English skipper also think that if they can send Williamson quickly then the half of tasks will be done.

The captaincy of the two captains are quite different. Morgan changed the whole English team after the defeat against Bangladesh in 2015. Giving freedom, he encouraged the team players to play in their own way. As a result, the batsmen got permission of license to kill. He told the bowlers to become fearless. Ultimately, the whole team converted into stout-hearted.

On the other hand, Williamson is little bit cool headed. He loves to take decision after observing the opponent closely and remains light mood in the field. Showing differences between them, Williamson said, “In the style of captaincy we two are different. It’s a big side of a captain that he moves with his own style.”

Talking about the benefit of own style, Morgan said, “You have to take your own decision. If you cannot take decision then your message to the team will not bring success. You have to be stay alert always.”

No one likes to face defeat. Williamson also loves to win. So, he keeps his eyes on success, “But I prefer winning than losing. That is probably the best way to say it. Any experience that you have is an opportunity to learn and sometimes tough experiences, being on the wrong side of results, can slap you in the face and give you a glaring lesson, and if you ignore that, I don't think that is a positive thing.

"So treating both of those, the outcomes with respect and trying to learn from them to be better as a group and as an individual, I think is the best part,” he added.

The performance of Williamson was extraordinary. Even, his team is eying to bag the final match. He scored 40 plus runs in every matches of this world cup except a single game. The skipper got century against South Africa and Afghanistan. If his bat shines in today’s match then that would be the reason of England’s defeat.

On the contrary, Eoin Morgan could not score too many runs but he put a color touch in the world cup in a different way. Morgan hit 17 over boundaries against Afghanistan which is highest in a single innings.

The two skippers are dreaming about a colorful final. Lord's Cricket Ground is awaiting for both of them. It’s time to see who will smile finally.
