Youth killed in city road crash

Staff Correspondent: A youth was killed as a bus hit him at Mirpur-1 of the capital on Monday late night.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shahid, 18.
Bachchu Mia, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, confirmed the news.
He said a bus hit Shahid in front of Sony Cinema Hall at Mirpur-1 when he was returning home from a relative's house in the late night, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to DMCH where attending doctors declared him dead, he added.
Shahid, son of Abul Kashem, hailed from Atashtoma under Ramganj of Laxmipur. He used to live with family at the capital's Agargaon area, the SI said.
