Actress Pori Moni files defamation case

Risingbd Desk: Popular actress Pori Moni filed a case against an editor and a reporter of an online news portal, for supposedly publishing defamatory news.

The actress filed the case with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on Wednesday.

Magistrate Atiqur Rahman of Dhaka Metropolitan magistrate Atiqur Rahman recorded the statement of Pori Moni and ordered Mohammadpur police officer-in-charge to submit investigate report.

The case statement said that Priyo.com reporter Mohammadullah allured the actress of publishing endorsing news on her in exchange of Tk One lakh.

The case statement also said that the published reports for maligned the reputation of the film star which worths Tk 10 crore.
