Aishwarya returns to the ramp after 5 years

Risingbd Desk: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan walked the ramp after a gap of almost five years for designer Manish Malhotra at the Amazon India Fashion Week 2015 on Sunday night.

The 40-year-old beauty left everyone gasping for breath as she strolled like an empress in the majestic creation by the couturier.

Manish’s collection titled as ‘The Empress Story’ was magnificent and every design showcased by the models on the runway was opulent to the core. The elaborate detailing on the lehengas and gowns were awe-inspiring and the models looked every inch the empresses in the new collection.

"2015 is a very special year for me as it marks 25 years as a costume stylist/director and 10 years of my label `Manish Malhotra`. What makes it even more special is Aishwarya returned to runway after five years as the showstopper for my show. She is a style icon. She is beautiful and stunning," designer Manish Malhotra said.

The show was attended by Bollywood beauties including Shabana Azmi, Kriti Shanon, Sophie Choudry and Aditi Rao Hydari. Wrestler Vijender Singh was also snapped in the front row. Aishwarya’s mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan also came to cheer for daughter-in-law.
