Alia to move in to her new home in July

Entertainment Correspondent: Actor Alia Bhatt is ready to move in to her new house. “My new home is almost ready. And by July-end I should be moving in.

It is being done up by Richa (Dubey, ex-wife of filmmaker Vikas Bahl), who also did Kangana’s (Ranaut, actor) home. This is my first home bought and done up with my own money and I am very proud of it.”

However, Alia says the new home won’t be the final one. “I think one day I will have another home, a much larger one where I will settle down with my own family and kids.” Incidentally, Alia also got a farmhouse recently which was done up by her maternal grandfather.

She says, “I am equally proud of both my new homes. Will I have a large house-warming party when I move into my new home in July? Of course I will. I want all my family and friends to share in my joy. The first home is very special.”

Her performance in her last release has also got her rave reviews. However, Alia thinks she could have done better. “My scene at the end of the film. Given another opportunity I’d do that a different way. I think I should have had a different expression there. Having said that, I like my performance.”

Co-star Shahid Kapoor also said that she should get a National Award for her performance. “That’s sweet of him. But there are many other performances coming up this year. If it happens it will be great. It is one of my biggest dreams to win awards for a performance. Right now I feel happy and blessed. My father, mother (Soni Razdan), sister Pooja were all there to see the film with me. They were so happy for me. My sister Shaheen has not seen it as yet. She is a bit scared, I think. To see me go through all that pain in the film.”
