Voting ends in Narayanganj City polls

Staff Correspondent: The voting in Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) ended after spontaneous participation of the voters since Thursday morning.

Voters began exercising their franchise in all the poll centres in the city corporation at 8:00am which continued till 4:00pm without any break.

Earlier, BNP-backed candidate Advocate Shakhawat Hossain Khan cast his vote at Narayanganj Adarsha School polling centre at Jamtala of Majdair area.

Meanwhile, Shakhawat said, ‘I’ll welcome the polls result whatever it is.’

Besides, Awami League-backed mayoral candidate Selina Hayat Ivy cast her vote at Shishubag Primary School polling centre in Paschim Deubhog area at about 9:45am and expressed satisfaction over the overall situation of the polling centre.
