Anti-militant operations underway in Manikganj

Manikganj correspondent: Joint forces are conducting anti-militant operations at Ajimnagar, Sutalory and Lechhraganj Char of the district`s Harirampur upazila.

At least 200 members of joint forces started operations early Wednesday.

Confirming the news, Manikganj Police Super (SP) Mahfuzur Rahman, said militants have shelters across the country especially in remote Char areas and are taking training there. So, operations are underway in everywhere of the country including Char areas.

Earlier, five people including four alleged militants were arrested conducting operations in different Char areas on Daulatpur upazila on Tuesday.
