Sport Desk: The hosts Bangladesh started a good opening beating England by 14 runs in the first-ever international disability cricket tournament at the BKSP ground No. 3 in capital on Friday.
Bangladesh posted 117 for eight before restricting England to 103 for seven.
Apurba Kumar Das scored highest 22 runs.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first.
The tie was set for Wednesday after the tournament`s inauguration at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. But as rain washed out the match, which was then rescheduled to Friday.
The other teams from India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan will participate in the nine-day tournament organised by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
