BGMEA- EU meeting to boost garment industry

Economic Correspondent: Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) held a meeting with a delegation of European Union (EU) to accelerate the development of garment industry.

The meeting was held at BGMEA Bhaban in the capital`s Kawran Bazar on Friday noon.

Jean Lambert, Member of the European Parliament, led the EU delegation while BGMEA President Siddiqur Rahman led the BGMEA delegation.

BGMEA sources said that a good number of initiatives to boost the development of Bangladesh garment industry with the EU have been taken recently. The security measures in Bangladesh garment industry have been increased in last few years.

Many more important issues were discussed in the meeting to boost the garment industry in Bangladesh.
