Transport strike in Moulvibazar called off

Moulvibazar Correspondent: Transport owners and workers called off their indefinite strike on all roads of Moulvibazar district on Saturday.
The decision came after a fruitful meeting with the district administration held at Bangladesh Tea Research Institute (BTRI) guest house in Sreemangal Upazila around 7:00pm.
BGB regional commander Brigadier General Abul Hasnat, Moulvibazar district administration Tofayel Islam, Moulvibazar district parishad chairman Azizur Rahman, Sylhet divisional workers union president Selim Ahmed and other attended the programme.
Earlier, transport workers enforced a 48-hour strike in Moulvibazar, protesting what they said an attack on locals by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members that led to a clash between them in Srimangal upazila on Thursday.
