Risingbd Desk: Punjabi film producer has filed a case against the Bollywood Miss perfectionist, Priyanka Chopra over a title of a film that her production company allegedly intends to produce in Punjab.


Priyanka Chopra is going places. After being the first Indian to win at the People’s Choice Awards, the actress is now all set to present at the Oscars. The gorgeous actress who has a parallel career in Hollywood and Bollywood is apparently caught up in a legal soup.


Talwinder Singh Rathor, has filed a suit in a city civil court at Dindoshi against Priyanka and her production company, M/s. Purple Pebble Pictures claiming damages and seeking restraining orders for use of the title ‘IK ONKAR’ for her movie, reported a news paper.

The case was scheduled for hearing this week.


According to the reports, Rathor has alleged that in the year 2013-2014 he had started the production of the movie titled ‘IK ONKAR’. He has claimed that his movie is almost complete and is at the last stage of production and that he has invested a sum of Rs. 5 crore in the movie. And as per procedures, he has obtained a copyright for the same.


However, Rathor reportedly came across the news that Priyanka and her company are planning to make a Punjabi film, with the same title.


While Rathor has approached the IMPPA (Indian Motion Picture Producers Association), he has also approached the court to restrain PC and her production company from using the said title, concluded the report.
