City road crash kills banker

Staff Correspondent: A banker was killed in a road accident in Shahbagh intersection in the capital of Tuesday afternoon.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
 
Witnesses said that some people were crossing roads in Shahbagh intersection around 4:00pm. Then, a passenger ran over the victim, leaving three people critically injured.

Later, locals rushed the injured to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where a victim died under treatment.

Confirming the matter Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique said that the victim was a bank staff but details of his identity could not be known yet.

Police detained the bus driver and seized the bus, he added.
