Civil case transfer to lower courts halted for 3 months

Staff Correspondent: The High Court has halted transfer of all appeal petitions, revisions and other procedures of civil cases to lower courts for three months.

Following the Civil Courts Act, a bench comprising of Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury and Justice Iqbal Kabir passed the order after hearing on a writ petition on Monday.

The court also issued a rule mentioning that why the amended section of the law will not be declared illegal.

Law secretary and registrar general of Supreme Court and High Court have asked to respond the rule within four weeks.
