Cox`s Bazar Correspondent: Most of the coastal areas in the country have returned back to normal life as the weakened cyclonic storm `Komen` has crossed the Chittagong coast with less damages.

People in the areas are getting normal lives, because the Met Office has advised number 3 danger alert for coastal areas withdrawing signal number 7 and 5.

Meteorological Department sources of Cox`s Bazar confirmed the signal No 3.

Fishermen on the other hand in Bagerhat are taking preparation to head back to sea after a break for Komen panic. The Mongla Port authority and workers are also taking preparations to begin their works, our correspondents from there reported.

Many people who took shelter at cyclone centers and other safe places have begun to return home.

From the Thursday midnight, the cyclonic storm began to cross Sandwip of Chittagong with a wind speed of 60-70 kmph.

According to Met Office, on Friday morning it was crossing the Noakhali area and was moving towards north-west part of the country.

Earlier on Thursday morning, the cyclonic storm `Komen` hit the Saint Martin`s Island and Teknaf with a wind speed of 51-61 kmph.
