Court directive to form committee to control house rent

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has directed the concerned government authorities to form a high powered committee to control house rent.
A bench headed by Justice Bazlur Rahman passed the order on Wednesday noon.
The court asked them to form the committee within six months after a discussion with the house owners and tenants in different places of Dhaka city.
Responders of the rule are Cabinet Secretary, Secretary of Prime Minister’s Office, Secretary of Parliament Secretariat, Law Secretary and mayor of Dhaka city.
