Bus-truck collision kills 4 in Sirajganj

Sirajganj Correspondent: At least four people were killed and 20 others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Konabari area on Bangabandhu Bridge link road of the district's Kamarkhanda upazila on Saturday noon.

However, identities of the victims could not be known immediately.

Md Abdul Hamid, deputy director of Sirajganj Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the news.

He said police and fire service members were jointly conducting rescue operations.

Meanwhile a woman was killed and 10 others were injured in a clash between an auto-rickshaw and a human hauler, locally known as Votvoti, at Belkhuchi of the district on the day.

The deceased was identified as Soneka, 35, confirmed Belkuchi Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sazzad Hossain.
