Energy Secretary Abu Bakar Siddique dies

Staff Correspondent: Abu Bakar Siddique, the secretary to the energy, power and mineral resources division, died of cardiac attack early Monday.

He left behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Md Abu Bakar Siddique, hailed from Naria of Shariatpur, did his graduation and post graduation degrees in management from Dhaka University.

He joined in Bangladesh Civil Service in 1983 and belongs to BCS (Administration) Cadre 1982 Special Batch and served in different capacities.

President Abdul Hamid and State Minister for Energy, Power and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid expressed deep shock at the death of Abu Bakar Siddique.
