`Every upazila to get technical school`

Staff Correspondent: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has vowed to set up technical school at every upazila of the country.

The Minister said, "Government has taken initiatives to set up technical school at every upazila gradually."

The Minister came up with the disclosure in a programme at the auditorium of Dhaka polytechnic in the capital`s Tejgaon on Friday.

Nahid said, "Activities for setting up 100 technical schools in 100 upazilas have already been started in first pahse. The project to establish 389 technical schools in next phase is awaiting for approval of planning commission."
