Father commits suicide after killing daughter

Staff Correspondent, Mymensingh: A man has committed suicide at Borochala village in the district`s Valuka upazila after slitting his half and a year-old baby girl to death on Tuesday morning.

The man was identified as Jamil Hossain, 40, and his daughter Rabeya.

Abdullah Al-Mamun, officer-in-charge (OC) of Valuka Police Station, said Jamil first slited his daughter and then committed suicide by a knife. Police members were sent to the spot.

However, the mystery behind the incident could not be known immediately, the OC said.
