Father, son burnt in gas cylinder blast in city

Staff Correspondent: A father and his teenage son suffered burn injuries as the gas cylinder of a CNG run auto rickshaw exploded in Ibrahimpur area of Uttara in the capital on Sunday.

The injured are Mohsin, 50, his son Miraz, 12.

Sources said that the victims were taking tea in a roadside tea stall in the area around 3:30pm. Meanwhile, a CNG run auto rickshaw stopped in front of the tea stall. At one stage, the cylinder in auto rickshaw exploded, leaving Mohsin and his son burnt injured.

Later, the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Resident physician of the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Dr Partha Shankar Paul confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
