Human chain programme in all schools, colleges

Staff Correspondent: Students of Wills Little Flower School and College have urged to form human chains in the all schools and colleges in the capital Dhaka tomorrow (Wednesday) demanding immediate arrest of killer of Suraiya Akter Risha, a class-VIII student of the school.

Students of Wills Little Flower School and College made the call from a demonstration on Tuesday noon.

Vehicular movement came to a halt as students blocked Kakrail intersection at noon.

A few hundred students took to the streets and demonstrated chanting various slogans.

Holding placards that read "We want justice for Risha", they demanded immediate arrest of the attacker.

Risha, a class-VIII student of the school, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, four days after she was stabbed allegedly by a stalker named Obaidul in front of the institution at Kakrail in Dhaka.

Obaidul waylaid Risha on her way back from the school and tried to talk to her the day before he stabbed her on the Kakrail footbridge near the school.

Risha achieved GPA (Grade Point Average)-5 in her primary terminal examinations in class-V and was preparing to do equally well in the Junior School Certificate exams this year.
