Staff Correspondent: With Thursday being the last working day before Eid-Ul-Fitr, the outbound people will leave Dhaka for home today to celebrate Eid with near and dear ones.

People have already started to gather pace at different transport terminals of the capital from the very beginning of the day.

The Sadarghat terminal experienced hundreds of people to travel their homes in southern districts safely.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) has also taken special initiatives to arrange a hassle free journey for homebound people.

Buses saw reduced number of passengers in the morning, but the number is expected to be increased with the day advancing.

Trains were also a popular choice to the people of all professionals.

The overall outbound transport situation is expected to gain momentum throughout the day, and the rush is expected to be greater today as the public holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr is going to be started from Friday.

Md Hannan Hossain, a government employee, told risingbd.com that he along with his family members left Dhaka for Barisal to celebrate Eid with near and dear ones after office.

Contacted, Mainul Islam, manager of Sakura Paribahan, said that they are facing a huge passenger pressure since morning because almost all government employees are leaving Dhaka today as they have got public holidays for nine days.
