Jessore road crash kills 3

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: At least three people were killed and seven others injured in a road accident on Jessore-Jhenaidah highway in Santola area of the district on Sunday noon.

The deceased have been identified as Lavlu, Farid and Sohel.

Local sources said that ten passengers, all of whom were labourers, were getting down from a CNG run auto-rickshaw in the area. Meanwhile, a passenger bus rammed the labourers and the auto-rickshaw, leaving 10 people injured critically.

Later, the injured were taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital where Lavlu breathed his last.

Farid and Sohel were being taken to Dhaka for treatment. However, they succumbed on the way.

Rest of the injured are undergoing treatment at Jessore Medical College Hospital.
Jessore Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ilias Hossain confirmed the news.
