IU Correspondent: Professor Abdul Hakim Sarker, vice chancellor of Islamic University in Kuhtia has been sacked on Thursday.
University acting registrar SM Abdul Latif said that he received a fax from the Ministry of Education around 3:00pm signed by Shahnaz Samad, deputy secretary of university-2.
According to the fax, the vice chancellor was sacked from his post by the order of the university’s chancellor, also the president of the republic as per the university act 1980, 10 (2).
The reason behind sacking of the vice chancellor was not mentioned in the fax, he said.
