Juhi Chawla, Shabana Azmi`s Iftar party on shooting sets

Risingbd Desk: Bollywood actresses Juhi Chawla and Shabana Azmi along with Girish Karnad, Upasana Singh and the entire team of Chalk N Duster including cinematographer Baba Azmi celebrated Iftar party on sets of the movie.

The team had gathered to shoot an important scene of the film in Mumbai, where Shabana Azmi was seen engaged in worshipping Lord Ganesh with the assembled crowd.

The presence of the Midnight`s Children actress and her brother Baba, who is also the director of photography for the film, triggered the idea of the Iftar party on the set.

"The Iftar party is not a part of the script. Today we had a scene of Ganesh Puja and since Ramazan is going on and it`s time of Iftar, our producers thought of a small Iftar party," Juhi Chawla said.

"On the same set we are doing Ganesh Puja and respecting the month of Ramadan. This is possible only in our country and hence I am very proud and lucky to be born in this beautiful country. This all is very beautiful where Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Isai all work together, live together and this brotherhood is really very good," she added.

In the film Shabana Azmi is playing a teacher named Vidhya Sawant who is a great devotee of Lord Ganesha.

Chalk N Duster is directed by renowned Bollywood make-up artist Subhash Singh, the storyline of which revolves around the business of education.

Written by Ranjeev Varma, Chalk N Duster`s music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya with lyrics by Shabana Azmi`s husband Javed Akhtar.
