Satkhira Correspondent: Eight-year-old Fahim Ahmed was killed at Kushkhali in Satkhira as one kg of beef was abandoned by dog.

 

The four arrestees in this connection gave confessional statement to police stating the horrifying incident.

 

The arrestees are Mujibur Rahman of Kushkhali village, his wife Safura Khatun, sons Ibharim Hossain and Israfil Hossain.

 

Abul Kalam Azad, Sub-Inspector of Satkhira Sadar Police Station, said the accused were arrested over the killing of minor Fahim. The arrestees unearthed the mysterious behind the killing.

 

"The accused confessed that Mujibur bought one kg of beef from a local bazaar and gave Fahim to make reach it to his house. Fahim kept the beef on a van in front of his house as he found nobody at home. Later, Mujibur`s family members found beef was being eaten by a dog," he added.

 

He added that Mujibur, then, called for Fahim and along with other family members beat him mercilessly, leaving him injured. At one stage he succumbed.

 

Fahim was son of Malaysia immigrant Monirul Islam of Mrigidanga village of Sadar Upazial who used to lived with her mother at his maternal grandfather`s house at Kushkhali village.


Police found Fahim dead at Kushkhali border area on June 15, two days after he went missing.
